GRADY SALUTES 2021

Every year, the Grady College at the University of Georgia hosts Grady Salutes, a gala celebrating the achievement of Grady alumni and friends of the college. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the 2020-2021 gala was taken virtually, and what would typically be an awards ceremony was instead a pre-recorded presentation (made to appear live) and a series of shorter videos to honor those who received awards or inducted into the Grady Fellowship. As Covid-19 forced the production world to get creative with how to gather footage and assets, interviews for the segments were conducted remotely via Zoom and utilized archival assets to minimize impact in a more strictly budget- and health-conscious world.
